Scrutiny continues for airport terminal deal

Government’s vaunted deal with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) to build a new airport terminal remains under assessment.

According to a spokesman for the Ministry of Finance, officials are “still in phase one of this exercise, which involves preliminary due diligence, project scoping and airport project concept”.

“An update is likely to be provided, once this phase is completed,” he added.

Facing Opposition criticism over the dealings with CCC, Finance Minister Bob Richards told MPs in November that a “go or no-go decision” would be made by the end of 2014.
