Cruise passenger rushed to hospital

A cruise passenger was rushed off the Crystal Serenity last night and taken to hospital.

The vessel, which arrived in Bermuda from Miami on Thursday, had been anchored in the Great Sound.

The male passenger, who required “urgent medical care”, was taken to Albuoy’s Point at just after 2.15 this morning on board one of the ship’s tenders.

The patient was then transferred to a waiting ambulance and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The Crystal Serenity is scheduled to leave Bermuda today bound for the Azores.
