Police have sent out a public warning after a series of videos showing people in “compromising and vulnerable states” have begun circulating around the Island.

A police spokesman said: “It appears that in some instances a few of these individuals may be under the age of consent and thus those images are classified as child abuse images or what is commonly known as child pornography.

“Anyone in possession of these videos or images or who forwards them on in any format is committing offences under the criminal code. If it proven that any of the images are of underage children anyone who forwards the image on is subject to prosecution.”

Police are investigating the videos, and are urging anyone who can assist in identifying either the people in the videos or those involved in their production or dissemination to contact Inspector Mark Clarke at 247-1086, mclarke@bps.bm or the confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 800 8477.
