Age Concern is set to host a four-week historical seminar series to help seniors understand their civic rights.

To be held from 10am to 1pm every Wednesday between March 2 and 23, each session will cost $20 for members and $30 for non-members (including lunch, bus and tour fees).

The advocacy group’s first event will see participants head from the Evangelical Church in Paget to St George’s.

Once there, they will learn about the birth of Bermudian Parliamentary democracy, the change from the old feudal system and why the capital was moved to Hamilton.

Elsewhere during the seminar series, participants will learn about subjects including women’s suffrage movement on the island, the adoption of a constitution and the House of Assembly.
