Traffic will be restricted today and tomorrow on Grey’s Bridge in Sandys while Belco carries out transmissions work.

The electricity company will be replacing underwater cables to ensure security of supply for the America’s Cup.

A Belco press release said work must be completed ahead of the Government’s planned road resurfacing programme, which will be undertaken in the West End in the coming weeks.

Controls will be in place restricting traffic to one lane along the bridge for the duration of this project. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to proceed with caution while work is under way.
