Mall event designed educate public about Pati
The public will get chance to learn how to file a Public Access to Information request at an event tomorrow afternoon in Washington Mall.
From midday to 2pm, the Information Commissioner's Office will host its final event of this week's “Just Ask!” campaign, aimed at raising awareness of the Pati Act and the public's rights under it.
Information commissioner Gitanjali Gutierrez and the ICO staff will answer questions at a table near the mall's Washington Lane entrance.
The “Just Ask!” campaign has been held to coincide with International Right to Know Day.
Celebrated annually on September 28, the day promotes the strengthening of democracy through open channels of information between countries' governments and citizens.
For more information, call the ICO on 294-9181 or e-mail info@ico.bm.
