Disruption of public services expected

Services such as buses, ferries and garbage collection are likely to be disrupted tomorrow as a result of the general members’ meeting of the Bermuda Industrial Union, set for 9am.

The meeting was announced on Friday in response to the non-renewal of a work permit for African Methodist Episcopal Church pastor, the Reverend Nicholas Tweed.

A spokeswoman said the Government would advise once services resumed, adding: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
