BIFF hosting world premier documentary

The Bermuda International Film Festival is set to host a world premier of a documentary about a famous New York Irish pub.

The film, Neary’s, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the titular Irish restaurant in midtown Manhattan, a popular hangout for personalities including Michael Bloomberg.

As part of the premier renowned sports photographer and film producer Neil Leifer will be on the island, and will be taking part in a panel discussion after the film with pub founder Jimmy Neary and his daughter Una.

The screening will take place on March 11 at the Tradewinds Auditorium at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Instutite.

Tickets cost $20, and are available through www.ptix.bm.
