Police are searching for a suspect following a chain snatching in Smith’s on Monday morning.

It happened along Harrington Sound Road, near the junction with Lolly’s Well Road, at around 9.30am.

The victim — a 20-year-old Smith’s man — was riding a motorcycle when he came to a stop behind a second vehicle.

According to police, a male rider on a white motorcycle rode alongside and snatched the victim’s chain.

The suspect — described by police as a dark-complexioned male wearing black clothing and a black helmet — fled along Harrington Sound Road.

The victim was unharmed, police said.
