“Queen of Soca” Alison Hinds is to bring her high energy show to the America’s Cup Village today.

She will be joined on the main stage by soca and R&B star Ricardo Drue as well as DJ yan Sayeed, Barrie Hype from Miami and DJ Crown Prince who mixes urban, soul and moombahton (a fusion genre of house music and reggaeton).

Ms Hinds is a British-born Barbadian artist known for her powerful and emotional vocals.

The choice of artists is in keeping with the carnival atmosphere of Bermuda Heroes Weekend, a national holiday on Monday.

Prior to the entertainment, America’s Cup Defender Oracle Team USA takes on the challenger for the America’s Cup, Emirates Team New Zealand. The first two races in the America’s Cup match are scheduled to take place tomorrow from 2pm.

The party will be at the America’s Cup Village main stage from 5.30pm to 10pm.
