Government House Gardens will open to the public on Sunday for the last time this summer.

The grounds have been open to residents and visitors since April 30 and Governor John Rankin said he hoped to continue the Sunday openings next summer.

Mr Rankin added: “I hope that all residents and visitors who were able to visit the Government House Gardens during the Sunday afternoon openings this year enjoyed the opportunity to see the historic trees located on the grounds and the wonderful views.

“All who visited were extremely respectful not only of the grounds themselves but also of the gardens being run by students from the three Pembroke Parish primary schools - Victor Scott, West Pembroke and Northlands.”

The gardens will be open on Sunday from noon to 5pm.
