A burst main pipe has cut off water to areas in Devonshire.

The broken water main, in the Devon Spring area, meant supplies were disrupted to people central and east of the Devon Springs pumping station.

A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Public Works said that, even after repairs are made, it may take some time for affected areas to have their water restored.

She added: “Customers who may need water during this time are advised to contact a water trucking company for service.”
