Foul play is not suspected in the sudden death of a man found in an unresponsive state at a Southampton residence on Tuesday, according to police.

Emergency services were dispatched to a home on Eastdale Lane at 7.35pm, where a 63-year-old man was discovered and subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by an on-call doctor.

A police spokesman said the deceased man would be identified in due course, after his next of kin had been notified. Inquiries are also under way.
