Police: injured rider in stable condition

A Pembroke man injured in a crash early on Saturday morning is in stable condition.

Police say the 30-year-old motorcyclist was hurt in a collision with a car minutes after midnight at the junction of Elliot and Union Streets.

He was this morning still in the intensive care unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Meanwhile three men injured in a crash last week involving a car and a truck have been released from hospital.

They were hurt last Tuesday evening when the car they were riding in collided with a truck on St John’s Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Tatems Hill.

Anyone with information about either collision are asked to contact police at 295-0011.
