Teddy Bear Tea will help needy children

Less fortunate children will get toys this Christmas thanks to the Teddy Bear Tea at Hamilton Princess and Beach Club.

Children are encouraged to donate a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal at the events at Crown and Anchor on Saturdays and Sundays throughout December, between 3pm and 5pm.

The gifts will be donated to the Salvation Army and the Family Centre, which will pass them along to needy youngsters as Christmas presents.

Children will also get to have their photograph taken with Santa and receive a selection of sweet treats, a note from Santa and a party bag.

Diarmaid O’Sullivan, director of marketing at the hotel, said: “This is the perfect opportunity for families to have fun while celebrating the spirit of the season and giving to others less fortunate.”

Tickets are $20 with a teddy donation, or $29 without, plus gratuities. Adults accompanying children can order afternoon tea for $48, plus gratuities.

Spaces can be booked by calling 298-2028 or e-mailing ham.diningreservations@fairmont.com.
