House to debate fintech

David Burt will address Parliament today on Britain’s move to have Overseas Territories publicise their companies ownership.

The Premier will also speak on agreements signed for fintech companies over the last week.

Housekeeping legislation is scheduled for debate, ranging from the Appropriations Amendment Act 2018 to amendments to public services superannuation.

Legislators will discuss the merging of the island’s libraries and archives.

Opposition MP Cole Simons will table a report for a recent seminar attended by the Public Accounts Committee

Dennis Lister Jr, the Speaker of the House, will also report on the 24th conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers, which was held in January.
