Bermudian designer featured on PBS

A Bermudian fashion design student has been featured in a television show about the Royal Wedding.

Brittany Wolffe was asked to come up with two wedding dress ideas for Meghan Markle, who will wed Prince Harry in Windsor today, as part of a special for American public service broadcaster PBS.

The 28-year-old said: “Every girl dreams of her big day. I've designed my own wedding dress in my head but I've never put it on paper so this opportunity to design a dress for Meghan was an amazing one.”

Ms Wolffe, who is in her final year of a fashion design course at the London College of Contemporary Arts, explained that the show was part of a series designed to highlight the Royal Wedding.

She said: “Each night focuses on a different aspect.”

The show featuring Ms Wolffe, who launched womenswear brand LoveBomb Inc in 2014, focused on Ms Markle's dress design and aired on May 15.

Ms Wolffe said: “For the filming we had to design two dresses that we would like Meghan Markle to wear for the Royal Wedding.”

She added that she was chosen to take part by her fashion design teacher Sadie Clayton alongside four other fashion design students.

Ms Wolffe said she looked forward to the wedding and added: “I am most definitely looking forward to seeing her dress of course.”
