A main road is to close for construction works for “an extended period of time”.

The Ministry of Public Works said Blackwatch Pass in Pembroke will be shut from next Monday.

A spokeswoman for the ministry said the road will be closed for several weeks.

The spokeswoman advised people to find alternative routes to avoid delays as the work is carried out.
