A night of drink-driving checks by police ended with no arrests.

Roadside sobriety checkpoints are running this weekend in Hamilton Parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget and Southampton.

A police spokesman said an operation from last night until early this morning “ended with no arrests for impaired driving”.

He reminded motorists the checkpoints continued tonight, tomorrow and on Sunday in the same five parishes.

The spokesman added: “The Bermuda Police Service thanks the motoring public for their patience and co-operation while the road sobriety checkpoints are in operation.”
