Mirrors appeals for coaches

Mirrors Programme is appealing for 22 business and community leaders to coach aspiring student leaders. Twenty-two promising student leaders will participate in Mirrors Community Programme and paired with business and community volunteers trained in performance and life coaching.

Mirrors’ flagship Community Programme is a leadership development programme focused on socio-emotional skills development and personal transformation for high school students. Life Coach Volunteers help student leaders to discover their own personal “best” and develop in their leadership by coaching them on achieving personal life goals and deepening their character development. The coaches will be asked to work with one young person on a weekly basis from September 2019 to April 2020.

This year, The Community Programme has been redesigned to bring greater focus on youth leadership that builds an in-school presence of the “8-Keys of Excellence” character development curriculum.

Individuals interested in becoming a life coach must be able to attend 2.5 days of training on Friday, June 28th (6pm-9pm), Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th, 2019 (9am-6pm) and the youth pairing day on Saturday August 24th 2019 (9am-4pm). Coaches will also participate in on-going coach training one Thursday evening (6pm-9pm) per month from July 2019 until April 2020.
