Bermuda's charms have drawn artists to its shores throughout history.

The island's natural light and sunshine were part of the attraction for painters and others.

Now, the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art in Paget has opened Follow the Sun, a permanent exhibit to showcase some of the works that sprang from that special relationship.

Bermuda's reputation as an artistic destination was especially strong in the eastern United States at the start of the last century.

Many North American artists were drawn by the tourist brochures' slogan of “60 hours from Frost to Flowers” and set up studios during their stays in Bermuda.
