Killer pitbulls still not traced

A pair of pitbulls that savaged family pets have still not been found, a Government spokeswoman said today.The Ministry of Home Affairs spokeswoman confirmed that the dogs had not been found, despite a search by animal wardens, who have worked with the Bermuda Police Service.The dogs killed one cat and one dog, and injured at least two other animals in the Bailey’s Bay area of Hamilton Parish last Wednesday.The spokeswoman also warned that anyone found to be harbouring the dogs could be liable for court action.It is an offence to keep a dog that has caused death or injury to a person or animal under the 2008 Dogs Act. It is also illegal to fail to pass on information in connection with an offence committed under the dogs legislation.
