Off-duty firefighters came to the rescue of a man this afternoon after the truck he was servicing fell on him.
The 63-year-old was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A spokesman said the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service received a call shortly after 4pm about the incident, which happened in Pembroke.
“Four off-duty firefighters who were in the area were able to lift the vehicle using a jack and pull the worker from under the truck,” the spokesman said.
“Upon arrival firefighters found the patient laying from under the vehicle and proceeded to assess him and prepare him for transport to KEMH via ambulance.”
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
