No new Covid-19 cases from 150 results

Bermuda's Covid-19 statistics as of May 7.

No new Covid-19 cases or deaths were reported today, the health ministry said tonight.

A spokeswoman for the ministry said 150 tests results had come back and all were clear.

Bermuda’s total number of Covid-19 cases remained at 118 and the death toll was unchanged at seven.

The spokeswoman said 50 cases were still active, with 35 people under public health monitoring and 15 in hospital.

A total of 61 people have recovered from the virus.

The spokeswoman said: “The average age of all of our confirmed positive cases is 60 and the age range of all of our positive cases is from 18 to 101 years.

“The age of persons hospitalised ranges between 64 and 91 years, and the average age is 77.”

“The racial breakdown of all active cases is 56 per cent black, 38 per cent white and 6 per cent other or unknown.”
