Bermuda Diabetes Association received more than $5,000 from the Hamilton Lions Club.

The cash was raised at the 51st Annual Gas-O-Rama on February 8.

A message from of Hamilton Lions Club president Lana Woods to the Association follows:

Despite the rainy cold weather on that day, it was a great success and we raised $22,967.22 from the sale of raffle tickets, donations from persons, and a percentage of petroleum fuels dispensed from RUBiS Terceira’s North Shore Service Station and RUBiS Energy Bermuda Ltd.

A Special Thank You to your Administrator, Mr. Leslie Bulford for organizing the raffle ticket distribution, Ms. Sara Bosch de Noya for doing blood screening on the day of Gas-O-Rama and to all who assisted us to make this event successful.

I would also like to thank the Terceira Family and Rubis Energy Bermuda Ltd. for their continued support of our Annual Gas-O-Rama.

On behalf of the Directors, Officers and Members of Hamilton Lions Club, I would like to present to you a cheque in the amount of $5,742.22 for your building fund.

Our 52nd Annual Gas-O-Rama will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
