Commercial season delayed

The start of the Commercial Cricket League’s league programme has been pushed back a week because of insufficient grounds, a spokesman said yesterday.
First round matches will now be held on Sunday, May 13.
Forties, last season’s league champions, narrowly beat knockout winners North Village last Sunday in the Memorial Cup match, the traditional season opener.
Nine teams — two more than last season — will be vying for three trophies, the league, knockout and the revived League Cup.
[bul] Jamaican Association will meet West Indian Association for the Caribbean Cup at Police Field on Sunday, starting at noon.
