Gilchrist is on top form
Number two seed Nadja Gilchrist delivered some crushing ground strokes to quickly dismiss Britain’s Nicola George, 6-0 6-1 to reach the girl’s final of the Bank of Bermuda Foundation/ITF Junior World Ranking event.
In the other semi-final, American Monica Yajima had an equally convincing win over fellow American and number seven seed Emilia Monell, winning 6-1 6-0.
In the boy’s semi-finals qualifier Jamie Whiteford from Great Britain defeated USA’s Max Stevens in straight sets, 6-2 6-1.
The second boys semi-final saw Whiteford’s doubles partner and fellow qualifier, Britain’s Chris Harrison battle back from a set down against fellow Briton Max Gregor. Harrison.
All final matches will be played today at the WER Joell tennis stadium and the public is encouraged to come out and support.
