Michael Sims shot a three-over par 74 yesterday on the Nationwide Tour to tie for 60th overnight at the $700,000 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational in Ohio.

The Bermuda number one, who missed the cut last week at the Legend Financial Group Classic, carded two birdies and five bogeys in his round on the Ohio State Scarlet Club course and will once again have to produce a 66 or better today if he is to make it through to the weekend.

Tournament leader Chris Nallen of the US, strode into the club house last night on four-under.

Sims is currently 155th on the Tour money list with $12,843 to his name. He’s made four out of 16 cuts in his rookie year, placing inside the top 25 once.
