David Bascome helped the Harrisburg Heat record their first victory of the MISL season when they defeated the Kansas City Comets 12-6 at the Farm Show Arena.
The Heat's Matt Knowles led all scorers with five points (3pg, 2pg), and Doug Petras saved 15 of 18 shots in his second start of the year. Nick Corneli chipped in with four points, including the game-winner after 8:47 of the third.
Bascome gave the Heat a bit of breathing room after 10:10 of the fourth period, collecting a feed through the midfield from Corneli and rifling a blast beyond the reach of the 'keeper to give the Heat a 9-6 edge.
The Heat have now won one and lost three this season.
