BFA set cup replay date

Bermuda Football Association yesterday announced the replay dates for last Sunday's drawn FA Cup quarter-final matches.

Next Tuesday night has been set aside for the three games involving four Premier Division clubs and two from the First Division.

At Devonshire Recreation Club, home team Devonshire Cougars and Boulevard will do battle again (9 p.m.) following last weekend's exciting contest which ended 2-2 after extra-time at BAA Field. That match will be preceded by a women's league match featuring Rude Girls and Somerset Cricket Club Hurricanes, beginning at 7 p.m.

Tuesday night will also see FA Cup quarter-final action at nearby BAA Field where St.David's and Devonshire Colts will compete for the right to advance into the final four of the prestigious competition, beginning at 7.15 p.m.

Colts equalised in the final minute of play in the first encounter at Lord's and the teams remained tied at two goals apiece after extra-time.

In Tuesday's nightcap at BAA (9 p.m.), Dandy Town take on a gritty St.George's outfit who managed to hold their own in the first FA Cup clash at St.John's Field. The teams remained deadlocked 1-1 after extra-time.

Other rescheduled games will see previously postponed First Division Shield and Friendship Trophy action at BAA Field on March 9. St.David's and PHC Zebras will do battle in the Shield at 7.15 p.m. while Devonshire Cougars will take on Boulevard in the Friendship Trophy at 9 p.m.

BAA Field will also host a Premier Division make-up match between Dandy Town and Somerset Eagles ? abandoned at St.John's Field on January 11 ? on March 10, beginning at 9 p.m. That match will be preceded by a women's league contest featuring Dandy Stars and BISYS Royals at 7 p.m.
