Bermuda Hockey Federation is to set up a new youth league for children aged between seven and 11.
The league will be part of a youth hockey programme which will start with three months of coaching, beginning in October.
The youngsters - both boys and girls - will graduate from the coaching programme to the league which will open in January and will run for three months.
The first session will be at the Montessori ground, formerly the National Sports Club, on October 6.
Elizabeth Osborne, a director of the BHF, said: "This year is hockey's year for youth and it follows on from eight weeks of free coaching we gave to five to 10-year-olds from March."
The entire six-month programme, including equipment and team kit, will cost $200 per child.
