Bermuda's Under 19's bounced back from two defeats to win a nailbiter by 19 runs against ICC Associate rivals Ireland at the Under 19 World Cup in Malaysia today.

Propelled by a 107-run fifth-wicket stand between skipper Rodney Trott (64) and vice captain Malachi Jones (58), Bermuda piled up their highest total to date in the tournament - one that ultimately proved beyond Ireland's reach.

Opener Chris Douglas chipped in with 27 at the top of the order while number seven bat Jordan DeSilva added a timely 26 as Bermuda's tail wagged.

Ireland offered a spirited reply but were eventually pegged back by the off spin of Douglas who ran through the order on the way to superb figures of five for 40.

Fellow off spinner Trott took two for 37 and Jones one for 35 off 7.4 overs.
