Bromby rebounds with two bullets
Peter Bromby used all of his experience to dig himself out of a hole at the Kiele Woche regatta in Germany.
Bromby, and crew Martin Siese, had slipped out of contention after registering a pair of 44th place finishes in the Star Class.
However, on Saturday the Olympic sailor swept his rivals aside to secure two first places.
Coupled with a further 19th place finish, the results saw the Bermudian rise up the leaderboard to seventh with a total of 74 points.
Germany's Marc Pickel headed the class with 30 points.
In the Yngling event, Bermuda's Paula Lewin maintained her good form to hang onto fifth place.
Accompanied by sister Peta Lewin and Klaartje Zuiderban, she added a 22nd, a 14th and a ninth place to her list of finishes.
In the Laser division, which was split into two groups because of the high number of entries, Islander Zander Kirkland secured his place in the gold group. He bagged further finishes of 48th, 51st, 39th and 38th to claim 48th spot.
