Brothers ?putt? Island on map

Brothers Tyler and Blair Marshall enhanced Bermuda's junior golf reputation during the recent Canadian Junior Golf Association World Junior Challenge.

The event, held over two courses at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida, saw 70 males take part in categories 13 and under, 14 to 16, 17 to 19 and 20 to 26 years of age.

The first two rounds were played at South Hampton, while the final round was played on the Jack Nicklaus/Arnold Palmer-designed King and Bear course.

Tyler competed in the 14 to 16 age group and shot rounds of 71,78 and 74, finishing in second place in his age group and third place overall. He began the final round in sixth, but a solid two-under par back nine of 34 after an opening nine of 40 moved him up the leaderboard.

Blair, meanwhile, competed in the 13 and under age group and shot rounds of 76, 77 and 74 to also finish second in his age group.

Like his elder brother, he came from behind on the last day jumping from fourth to second with a steady 74, including an even-par 36 on the back nine.
