Brown floored

Gateway League champions Teachers saw off a spirited Brown University team on Tuesday night in the touring side's third match against local clubs.
Teachers racked up 29 points through tries by Sean Burpee, Freedom Burrows, Patrick Cooper (two) and Brian Bailey and two conversions by Nathan Brown while Brown could only manage one try after halftime.
The Rhode Island university team had won the first two matches of their tour, defeating Police and Renegades by close margins, before coming up against the Reds who fielded an experienced side which dominated up front throughout the match.
Starved of quality ball, the Brown players were forced to feed off scraps but found the going hard against a hard-tackling Teachers' back line.
