Qualifying for the local edition of the annual Re-Max World Long Drive Championship, which was scheduled to take place at St. George's Golf Club this Saturday, has now been put back to October 6.
St. George's club manager Max Atherden explained that a number of conflicting events had prompted the change of date.
The championship, being held in Bermuda for the second year, is incorporated in an 18-hole two-ball, best-ball event.
The tournament will have an 8.30 a.m. shotgun start with an entry fee of $80 per player. Further details can be obtained by calling 297-8067.
