Shaun Goater's Manchester City dropped two more vital home points last night when they were held to a scoreless draw by Sheffield United.
It was the club's third straight home league match without a win as United created some good chances of their own.
Top scorer Goater had City's best chance in the first half, putting a header against a post after midfielder Ali Bernabia latched onto a long ball from defence and found the Bermudian with a left-footed cross.
City were reduced to 10 men late in the game when Kevin Horlock was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a deliberate dive inside the United box.
