Devonshire Colts 2

Social Club 1

Colts sealed promotion yesterday at BAA the hard way, fighting their way past Social Club in a bad-tempered encounter.

The game started brightly enough, Omar Ray took advantage of some of the worst goalkeeping in history by Marques Basden to give his side the lead within two minute.

But Social Club overcame their early difficulties and equalised just before the break through Haile Matthews. Ray then threw his shirt down in disgust and left the field - something Shannon Thompson was to do in the second half as tempers flared.

Six players were booked and it is a miracle no one was sent off as Colts pushed forward for the win which came with 23 minutes left through Geron Trott.

Prospect 0 Ireland Rangers 2

A week after gaining promotion, Ireland Rangers captured the league title with this two-goal triumph at Police field.

Starting the day in need of a victory to have any hope of promotion, Prospect fell behind early when the visitors snatched both goals in the opening half.

Top striker Jonathan Bean scored the first after 30 minutes and Trevor Corday blasted home the second five minutes before the break.

Prospect were unlucky not to score later, Rangers' goalkeeper Ricky Tucker sensationally pushing a penalty over after 75 minutes and making a dramatic stop eight minutes later to end another raid by the home side.

Paget 3 Wolves 2

Paget came from behind to defeat Wolves during a five-goal second-half bonanza at White Hill Field yesterday.

The home team fell behind to a Rasheed Evans strike five minutes into the second half but drew level through Yusaff Pitt in the 65th minute.

Kenneth Outerbridge put Lions ahead for the first time when he hooked the ball into the far right corner in the 75th minute.

However, Sherritt Hewey equalised for Wolves in the 81st minute, only for Nathan Simons to score Paget's winner four minutes from time.

St. David's 2 X Roads 1

While just missing out of being promoted St. David's nevertheless finished the season off impressively with this hard-fought victory at Lord's.

The eastenders grabbed a 1-0 lead on a goal by Dejaun Paynter after 27 minutes while Kameron Fox gave them a 2-0 lead 13 minutes after the interval.

A goal by Dennis Musson after 74 helped to inspire X Roads but their inspired attack was held at bay by the home side's defence.

Hamilton Parish 1

St. George's 3

Entering the game with promotion a possibility, St. George's were forced to sweat it out against Hamilton Parish at Lord's.

The teams finished the opening half deadlocked at 1-1 but when it was over St. George's had emerged clear winners on the strength of goals by Jade Foggo, David Signor and Oronde Bascome.
