James Tyrell scored a first-half hat-trick as Valley FC did a bit of exterminating of their own against Commercial Division rivals Pest Control at Malabar in this FA Cup first round encounter yesterday.

After Troy Simmons had put Valley ahead early in the first half, Tyrell netted a superb treble to give his team a commanding 4-0 lead at the half.

Pest Control, however, did pull their socks up a bit in the second half and limited their opponents to only one additional strike, Fitzgerald Williams converting his team?s fifth and final tally from the penalty spot to put the finishing touches to Valley?s comprehensive win.
