Elizabeth sails to fitted dinghy double
Elizabeth, skippered by Michael Lewis, took opening day honours as another fitted dinghy season got underway in St. George's Harbour on Saturday.
Only four boats competed in the three-race programme with Elizabeth winning both the Heritage Trophy and the Master's Cup.
Inbetween, Contest, with Somers Kempe at the helm, took line honours in the Anniversary Cup but that result is subject to a protest.
Victory, skippered by Michael Oatley, and Challenger (Mike Taylor), both endured a disappointing day as they sank twice.
In the opening race, only Elizabeth and Contest finished while the Anniversary Cup saw Contest beat out Challenger with Elizabeth placing third.
The day's final race again saw Elizabeth leading the way, followed by Contest and Victory.
Racing is next scheduled on June 15 and June 16 in Mangrove Bay.
