The fury on the face of Elizabeth Kerin after her bout had not been matched by any fighter in any round in the ring on Saturday night.

And her comments were as stinging as any punch thrown.

?That was an absolute disgrace, the decision stinks,? screamed Kerin to pretty much anyone who would listen.

?That was a hometown decision, that?s what that was. I beat the girl, everyone should know that, that was Bermudian judges giving the win to their girl.

?You always expect the local fighter to get a bit of help, but this is ridiculous. It?s a joke, they are all a joke.

?I suppose it was my my fault, I should have knocked her out because that is the only way you can get wins in places like this.

?All of Bermuda should be ashamed at what has happened tonight.?

Kerin was awarded just one round from any of the three judges and was particularly appalled at the 40-30 score handed out by one.

?Does this guy even know how to score properly,? said Kerin, keen to explain to everyone the 10-9 scoring system which would mean, technical offences or knockdowns aside, it is impossible to lose a fight by more than four points.

?It is ridiculous. You could hear when the announcer read it that he didn?t believe it either. If they gave her every round, which I can?t believe they would, the score would have been 40-36, any more than that is impossible without knockdowns or offences ? but even then the referee has to make it clear the point is being deducted by showing the boxer to each judge.

?I can?t believe this. It is an absolute disgrace, these people are either incompetent or are cheats.

?According to these people I was only given one round and I can? t believe that. I beat the hell out of that girl in the last round and it is as if no one saw it.

?I just can?t get over this.?

Her manager George Hernandez began his fight synopsis with the greatest of compliments to the venue before hitting out at the decision with equal venom.

?I have to say this is a beautiful Island, one of the most beautiful places in the world and it is a pleasure to have had the chance to visit,? he said.

?But what happened here is robbery. I just want to say that this decision sucks, and these judges suck.

?I have been involved in boxing for 32 years, I have trained numerous world champions and Olympians but in all my time I have never seen anything like this.

?My girl won that fight, it is obvious to anyone who knows anything about boxing. Your girl is going nowhere, put your money somewhere else because you are wasting it on her.

?Everyone involved in this decision should be ashamed by what has happened here tonight.?
