Ireland Rangers 8 X Roads Warriors 0

Andre Outerbridge netted a superb hat-trick in a 14-minute spell to inspire promotion candidates Ireland Rangers to this lopsided win over bottom-club X Roads Warriors at Malabar yesterday.

The midfielder scored in the 52nd, 58th and 66th minutes as Rangers opened the floodgates in the second half and crashed six past a X Roads team who are finding life difficult among the Bermuda Football Association ranks so far.

Rangers led 2-0 at the break thanks to goals from Jermaine Saltus and Henry Santucci.

The pair also found the back of the net during an all-action second half as the home team replaced Devonshire Colts at the top of the standings.

Sean Brangman converted Rangers' eighth and final strike just moments before the final whistle.

Rangers now lead Colts by a single point with four wins to their credit.

Prospect 4 Hamilton Parish 1

Prospect picked up their second win of the season, condemning struggling Hamilton Parish to a heavy defeat in the process at Police Field.

The home team took only 26 minutes to break the ice, Sergio Wilkinson scoring from close range with a soft goal the ‘keeper should have saved.

John Richmond then doubled Prospect's lead two minutes later, storming forward into the box to powerfully head home what proved to be the goal of the match.

Down 2-0, Parish staged a second-half revival and clawed their back when Burton Outerbridge managed to squeeze the ball through a maze of players following a goalmouth scramble.

But Jerome Laws managed to restore Prospect's two-goal cushion five minutes from time after drilling home a low shot from just outside of the box before Najae Woods put the match well beyond the visitors with a goal right on full-time.

St.George's 3 Social Club 0

One a day that saw Bermuda squander a penalty in St.Vincent, veteran goalie Troy Hall, who was a part of the Island's World Cup qualifying squad earlier this year, converted twice form the penalty spot to spur St.George's to this comfortable win over Social Club at Wellington Oval.

Hall, who many still regard as one of the Island's top ‘keepers, netted in the 50th and 75th minutes from the spot before promising young midfielder Oronde Bascome closed out the scoring in the 78th minute as St.George's celebrated their second win of the season and climbed into fourth place in the standings.

Wolves 4 St.David's 1

Wolves brought St.David's' win streak to a grinding halt yesterday at Devonshire Rec., coming from one goal down to sweep the Islanders clean off the pitch during a hotly-contested affair which saw a player from each team sent off late in the match.

Things looked bright for the Islanders in the early going as veteran striker Otis Minors converted in the 38th minute to give the visitors a one goal advantage at the break.

However, Wolves shifted up a gear when play restarted and the Islanders' defence would finally cave in when prolific scorer Vince Minors equalised for the home team in the 61st minute.

Wolves then took the lead for good through an Alsheed Ebbins strike eight minutes later before an Aaron Lugo own goal completely shattered any hope the visitors might have had of staging a late revival.

Minors rounded out the scoring in the 80th minute by grabbing his second goal of the match.

Seven minutes later Wolves' ‘keeper David Trott was sent off for retaliating after he had collided with Otis Minors in the box while Islanders' Dejuan Paynter was also sent packing after committing a second bookable offence.

Devonshire Colts 0 Paget 0

Devonshire Colts relinquished their spot at the top of the standings after being held to this scoreless draw against Paget Lions at BAA Field.
