Wolves were bundled out of the FA Cup at the Den yesterday in dramatic fashion, thanks to a spectacular 20-yard 89th minute effort from Thomas Brown that capped off a courageous late Paget revival.

Trailing 1-0 with only ten minutes remaining, Paget scored twice to record a remarkable come-from-behind win that completely knocked the wind out of their opponents? sails.

After the final whistle had blown, Wolves must have been kicking themselves as they were guilty of wasting numerous opportunities to blow their First Division rivals clean off the pitch.

Seconds after Kyle Jones had erased Vince Minors? first-half strike, the latter wasted to golden opportunity to settle the issue eight minutes from time. But after rounding the ?keeper, the striker hurried his shot over the bar from the penalty spot in front of a wide open net.

And that opened the door for Brown?s last gasp heroics.

Minors, however, could not be solely blamed as veteran strikers Dion Wainwright and Kenny Hill also blew their share of clear cut chances either side of the half ? misses that ultimately came back to haunt Wolves as Brown drilled a right-footed shot into the top far right-hand corner to catapult the Lions through to the next round.

The late sending off of Hobte Burrows only added to Wolves? woes, while team-mate Hill received a yellow card along with Paget?s Mandel and Kenneth Outerbridge.
