Goater grabs UK headlines

Shaun Goater is grabbing the headlines once again in the UK ? as excerpts from his new book hit the newspapers.

Goater has flown back to his former stomping ground for a two-week whirlwind book launch, visiting each of his former clubs to promote his autobiography ?Feed the Goat?.

The former pro, who retired at the end of last season, is giving his book the full launch treatment, with a hectic schedule of television, radio and newspaper interviews across the country.

And his criticism of former Manchester City boss Kevin Keegan has grabbed headlines in the Manchester Evening News following comments in a radio appearance in the northern town where he is still a hero following his goalscoring exploits for the Blues.

The former striker, who started his career with Manchester United but really made his name at City, complained about Keegan failing to ever give him any praise or recognition, despite all the goals he was scoring.

The Bermudian also praised former manager Joe Royle heavily and talked about how a psychologist helped him get his confidence back when he was going through a lean spell.

Goater will be on the launch trail for two weeks before returning to Bermuda where the book is likely to be released some time next month.
