First Division Reading have agreed a fee for Manchester City striker Shaun Goater.Goater announced at the end of last season that he intends to leave the Premiership club and yesterday the Royals made their move.It is reported that the First Division side, based in Berkshire in the south of England, had a ?500,000 bid for the Bermudian international accepted on Tuesday.Goater, a second-half substitute in City's 1-0 defeat by Odense in Denmark last night, refused to be drawn on speculation until after his club's friendly with Dutch giants Feyenoord on Friday.He said: "I'm not considering the offer until the tour of Denmark is over. We have an important game on Friday night and I'm concentrating only on my football."
