Great footballer, better father . . .

But none more than his supportive family.?No words can basically sum up my father. He was caring, loving, kind and always giving to whoever was in need,? daughter Vickie told yesterday.?He was never one in the forefront but more one in the back, supporting people through all of his numerous donations to different charities and sporting initiatives throughout the Island of which we were all very proud.

Frankie Brewster touched many lives.

But none more than his supportive family.

?No words can basically sum up my father. He was caring, loving, kind and always giving to whoever was in need,? daughter Vickie told yesterday.

?He was never one in the forefront but more one in the back, supporting people through all of his numerous donations to different charities and sporting initiatives throughout the Island of which we were all very proud.

?No one could?ve asked for a better father. He was always there whenever I needed him and he will be sadly missed.

?I really don?t know what else to say other than he was a fabulous man.?

After representing Bermuda?s national football team at the 1974 Central American Games (CAC) in Santo Domingo, Brewster said: ?Walking out in that stadium with your Bermuda shorts on in front of a crowd of around 30 to 40 thousand people at the opening ceremony was unbelievable. It was perhaps the highlight of my career.?

It was a career defined by a strong will to succeed.

?He made us all proud beyond belief. If anybody tackled him wrong, I was always ready to run out on the pitch and do whatever I could,? daughter Vickie added.

?I was a very vocal and strong supporter of my father right up to his days playing in the Commercial Division at the age of 50. He obviously loved the sport.

?Just this past Saturday night he was outside playing in the yard with my youngest boy, playing one bounce football.?
