Substitute Clevon Hill gave Colts fans long awaited joy at the end of this match when he snatched the winning goal two minutes into injury time, writes Colin Zuill.

Until then the Premier Division fixture at BAA last night was largely uninspiring with the attack of both team looking as listless as a ship attempting to sail in a straight line without a rudder.

Much to the relief of the Colts' fans, who had little to cheer about all night, Hill combined with Quincy Aberdeen to fire the ball home from close range.

If he had not settled the issue this game could have gone down as a contest that featured the least number of shots on goal ever.

Both teams struggled to build attacks and when they did get to the penalty box play broke down either because of misdirected passes or a lack of imagination from the forwards.

What a rude awakening it must have been for visiting referee Peter Spink who surely wondered whether the forwards realised that the idea of soccer was to take shots at goal.

Throughout, goalkeepers Winslow Williams, making his debut in the Wolves' goal and Andre Hendrickson in Colts' goal, had an easy night and were not really tested during the entire 90 minutes.

The scoreless first half featured no real excitement with make-shift Wolves, playing without the suspended Anthony Thomas and Nakia Smith, taking a while to settle down and Colts' efforts ending when their wingers failed to get crosses over.

Lloyd Holder and skipper Shannon Burgess both powered headers over for Colts after 17 and 24 minutes while Wolves countered with Chae Simmons forcing the defence to scramble his cross clear after 34 minutes.

The trend continued in the second half with play dull for long periods and unimaginative attacking tactics causing both coaches nothing but headaches.

Wolves, however, gained the upperhand midway through the half in terms of possession but Vince Minors and Simmons continue to be frustrated when inside the box, holding on to the ball too long and being robbed before getting off a shot.

The pair teamed up after 69 minutes with Minors' cross creating a scoring opportunity for Simmons, but the striker astonishingly headed wide of the far post from only 10 yards.

Colts replied with their best chance after 77 minutes - Jermaine Aberdeen beating defenders to a bouncing ball deep in Wolves' half, but goalkeeper Williams quickly advanced off his line to block the Colts' forward.

With a goalless draw staring the teams in the face, Hill, who came on as a substitute for Romond Douglas after 53 minutes, settled the stalemate with his late strike.
