Home field gives Premier sides cup advantage
Premier sides Southampton Rangers, Devonshire Cougars, Dandy Town, Devonshire Colts and Somerset Eagles will all be hoping to make the most of home field advantage during the second round of the FA Cup this Sunday.
Having made the cup draw last week, Bermuda Football Association yesterday announced the venues ? choosing five grounds across the Island, three of which will host double-headers.
Rangers meet Boulevard in an all-Premier clash at the Southampton Oval (2.30 p.m.), a game preceded by the match-up between First Division pacesetters PHC and Commercial League side Key West Rangers (12.20 p.m.).
Cougars host another Commercial team, Valley, at the Den (2.30 p.m.) while the first game at Devonshire Rec. will see Commercial side Vasco/Mariners take on First Division St. David?s (12.30 p.m.).
In the other double-header at White Hill Field, Devonshire Colts play Tuff Dogs in the opener at 12.30 with Eagles facing neighbours Somerset Trojans in the second game at 2.30.
In what should be the match of the day, Premier leaders Dandy Town play defending league champions North Village at St. John?s Field (2.30) while the remaining cup tie pits St.George?s against Prospect at Wellington Oval (2.30).
In the Women?s FA Cup, Prospect take on Rude Girls at Wellington Oval (12.30) while Dandy Stars meet Somerset Hurricanes at St.John?s Field (12.30).
