Hot-shot Richardson rolls the perfect game
Lamar Richardson set Warwick Lanes ablaze when he rolled the perfect game of 300 in Sunday's USBC third annual bowling championships.
Richardson, playing for the Scrubs, helped his team to a total of 3373 - 40 ahead of second-placed Hot Shots.
His performance was even more remarkable in that he has recently returned to the sport after breaking his wrist while playing for the national youth cricket team.
Team leader Antoine Jones rolled a 232 while Dean Lightbourne chipped in with 225, Raymond Burchall contributed with a 200 game and Delmont Tucker with a 189 for a blistering series of 1146.
Apart from the ninth frame when Richardson hit on the 'Brooklyn side', the rest of his efforts were solid pocket hits.
After throwing his last ball, he ran around the Lanes in celebration.
"I know now how those guys feel when they have 11 in a row, you just keep saying, I've got to get the next one," he said afterwards.
