Veteran Somerset Bridge medium pace bowlers Denzil Dill and Corvet Lambert combined to take five wickets against PHC in this Combined KO clash at White Hill Field.

Dill had the game?s best analysis of five for 18 off 5.3 overs with two maidens to spearhead his team to a four-wicket victory while Lambert grabbed four for 16 off five overs to come close to matching his team-mate?s impressive figures.

With the pair in dominating form, PHC struggled from the outset and looked doomed at 28 for four before Gerald Simons (18) and veteran batsman Andre (Doc) Manders (11) put on 24 for the fifth wicket.

But once that partnership ended with Simons falling to Dill after Dwayne Simmons made a good catch, it was all downhill with only Bermuda senior national team football coach Kyle Lightbourne offering any resistance with a knock of 15. PHC?s demise came in just 21.3 overs.

After a poor start when they lost their first two batsmen for six runs Bridge?s innings was stabilised when Jermaine Salaam and Ezekial Greenwood added 49 for the third wicket, Salaam scoring 21 and Greenwood 34 not out.

Bridge were to lose three further wickets after Salaam was dismissed by Cal Waldron, but Greenwood persevered and put them on course for the victory.

Waldron was the leading bowler for PHC with two wickets for 21 off eight overs with two maidens while Lightbourne claimed two for 24 off 9.1 overs.

Bridge reached their winning target in 29.1 overs.
